Some Fall Spring Cleaning

I really wanted to participate in Adriana and Company's "feel like I’m 21" link up, but I unfortunately have no photos from that day here.  Sadly, when I turned 21,  no one had cell phones, digital cameras, or even Facebook (sigh). All my pics are in a box at my parent’s house. And we all know a blog just isn’t a blog unless there are pics. Lots of pics.
I decided I need to get those pictures from my parent’s house along with my other boxes of college and high school memorabilia.  For the blogs sake. In order to do this, some other things need to happen (btw, I love to clean and organize, so this is a fun project for me)

A Birthday Weekend

I have really fallen off the wagon with this blog. I guess it's kinda like exercising (which i did once this weekend).
The weekend was the Birzday (yup, in my family, we say "birzday" the same way my grandpa with his Croatian accent says it).
I got my new couches delivered & love them! e really wanted leather, but I'm so glad we did fabric (with the kitties). I also think fabric is just so much nicer against the skin.

We are also the biggest rednecks on the block because we put our old couch on our front porch. I listed it on Craigslist & freecycle, but no one wanted it. I was kinda sad. It wasn't that bad. My brother suggested that people are wary of free couches on Craigslist because they think some peed on it or worse.

Anyhoo, E made me homemade cinnamon rolls for my b-day and we also saw This is the End for my big day At my age (32 sigh), I really am like "Big Whoop" on my b-day, but it was a really special day and I do like presents :) Like this chocolate bar wrapped in a very special wrapping paper from my co-worker.

Things I Should Know Better Than To Do

Well, now that I’m finally accepting I am no longer in my twenties, I should probably act like it.

• Start an email to my boss with the words “oh fudge”

• Paint my nails crazy like all the young folks shopping at Forever 21

• Shop at Forever 21 

• Refuse to buy new jeans in a bigger size, resulting in muffin tops and serious whale tale

• Emotionally eat multiple Fiber 1 90 cal brownies (yup, they definitely have extra fiber in there)

• Think I look good dancing after a few glasses of vino

• Wear leggings and Uggs in the winter 

• Wear old sorority t-shirts to the gym or beach (yea, no one's impressed that I went to a Pi Kapp formal in 2000)

 

I'm sure there are plenty more. Do you still do stuff that you know better than to do?
