I had time to attend the Blue Hope Bash to raise funds for Chris4Life (to fight colon cancer). It was such a wonderful and touching night, but of course I didn't take pictures! It is such a worthy cause and they are really doing great work in the fight against colon cancer. I can't wait to attend their walk next spring. If you have an opportunity to help support them, you definitely should!
I did grab this pic off Facebook though. Too bad I hunched over, my dress was cute. Most of the women in attendance wore blue, the color of colon cancer support.
On a lighter note, the event was held at a high end hotel in Georgetown and I think we spied a high end escort while we were waiting for valet (or maybe I watch too much Lifetime)!
We also had a chili cook-off at my office. I didn't win, but out of that I learned:
1. I might be obsessed with getting my chicken at a halal butcher. I made a white chicken chili using halal chicken meat and the butcher cleaned it so nice. I hate to clean raw chicken- blah.
2. I have got to get some Quorn grounds meat substitute. The winning chili was a VEGAN (yes, vegan) chili using this mushroom meat substitute. It was so delicious and I couldn't taste the difference.
Lastly, the girls finally got to get together for a HH. One of our stops was Co Co Sala. If you're in the DC area and have a chocolate tooth, you have to check this place out. Hot chocolate flight and chocolate inspired martinis- yes, please!
Have a great weekend!
you guys look fab and so what if you ddin't win - if you got to try out all the food, THAT'S ALREADY A WIN!! :D
